Radon Fan Replacement
If your radon fan is loud, rattling, vibrating, or no longer pulling correctly, call Bill. We service all major fan brands, including systems we did not install.
Loud or rattling fan
A fan that used to hum quietly and is now easy to hear indoors usually has worn bearings or vibration that should be checked.
Low or changed manometer reading
If the U-tube reading changes from its marked normal level, the system may not be pulling the way it should.
Old or failed equipment
Radon fans run continuously. Many last 5 to 10 years, but age, weather, and system load can shorten that lifespan.
We Replace More Than Our Own Fans
You do not need to know who installed the original system before calling. American Radon Systems works on RadonAway, Fantech, Festa, and other common mitigation fan brands. Bill can usually tell from a few details whether the fan needs replacement, a system check, or a closer look in person.
If the system was installed by ARS and is under warranty, we will help you sort that out too. If another company installed it, we can still service it.
What to Check Before You Call
- Look at the U-tube manometer and note whether the fluid levels are uneven or flat.
- Listen for rattling, grinding, buzzing, or vibration at the fan or pipe.
- Take a quick photo of the fan label if you can reach it safely.
- Never unplug the system as a long-term fix. The fan is what keeps radon moving out of the house.
