the Phone

American Radon Systems helps homeowners get elevated radon handled without turning it into a bigger headache.

Who We Are

A Family-Owned Business from the Lincoln-Way Area

American Radon Systems is a family-owned business based in Tinley Park. We've lived in the Lincoln-Way area since 1999 and have been doing radon mitigation work since 2011.

Bill meets with every client personally. He's the one on the job, and he's the one who picks up the phone. That's why American Radon Systems has built up 650+ Google Reviews, not because of a sales team, but because of the work itself.

When a homeowner's test comes back elevated, we are the team that fixes it. Every system is designed to match the home, not a one-size-fits-all install. Every job follows current Illinois state requirements, and every system is warranted.

The People Behind American Radon Systems

Bill Dahlstrom, owner and installer at American Radon Systems.
Owner & Installer

Bill

Bill meets with every client personally and does the installs himself. He's been at this since 2011 and is the reason American Radon Systems has 650+ Google Reviews. His 7th-grade first-place wrestling medal is still on display at home. He hasn't let anyone forget it.

Colleen Dahlstrom, who runs operations and office coordination for American Radon Systems.
Operations & Office

Colleen

Colleen runs everything behind the scenes: accounting, invoices, state paperwork, insurance requirements, and HOA coordination. If the business side works, it is because of Colleen.

Jose from the American Radon Systems field crew.
Lead Installer

Jose

Jose is part of the field crew homeowners are most likely to see on installation day. He helps keep the work clean, steady, and practical, especially on jobs where the details matter in tight basement and crawl-space conditions.

Mitchell from the American Radon Systems family and field crew.
Field Support

Mitchell

Mitchell is one of Bill and Colleen's sons and part of the family behind the business. He helps when an extra set of hands makes the job move better, especially on larger or more physical installs.

Tyler from the American Radon Systems family and field crew.
Field Support

Tyler

Tyler grew up around the business and the Lincoln-Way community. When he is on a job, he brings the same family-first approach: show up, work carefully, and leave the home respected.

Joe from the American Radon Systems family and field crew.
Field Support

Joe

Joe is close to the crew and helps when the work calls for more support, particularly on crawl-space projects and installs that need extra hands.

The Crew

Small by Design

American Radon Systems is not a call-center operation. Bill meets with customers personally, Colleen keeps the business side organized, and the field crew focuses on clean, practical mitigation work.

That smaller setup is intentional. It keeps communication direct, scheduling realistic, and the finished system tied to the people whose name is on the truck.
